Murmansk Rock Club is originally a Do–It–Yourself nomadic music initiative located in the city of Murmansk, Russia. As part of Rakett´s project for Barents Spektakel we invited the initiators of this club to introduce and start a temporary department of the club located in Kirkenes during the festival. This is a small, idealistic Do-It-Yourself membership club where music enthusiasts get together and play their own music and listen to each other. It was possible to become a member and buy a member-card only during Barents Spektakel. Nine of the members from Murmansk came to host two concert-events, Friday 3rd of February between 7-9 pm, and at Saturday 4th of February 6-9 pm. During these evenings it was possible for new members to perform their music. Murmansk Rock Club was located at the premises and club stage of the Youth Club in Kirkenes.
As part of the Barents Spektakel Rakett also initiated the exhibition Domestic Cocoon Situation at Murmansk Art Museum and The Get Together and An Everyday Improvement
